Music.

I’m a big music guy. I think about music everyday. There is a song that I’m thinking of almost every hour of the day. So this may seem stupid to some.

All my friends’ dads growing up seemed to listen to seventies and eighties music. I didn’t think much about it other than kind of thinking there were weird guys with long hair and thinking all of it was the devil’s music, being that my parents listened to Handel’s Messiah and Gospel Acapella. But, that’s beside the point.

I worry that I won’t find any bands that I liked as much as I did in college. Mostly because all of those guys seemed to only listen to music from twenty or thirty years ago. I think the other thing is I haven’t felt like I found an Album that I have loved or liked much since 2006. Which was Sufjan Stevens’ “Come on feel the Illinoise!.” I think this is a “there’s nothing new under the sun” moment.  I feel that a lot of albums that I buy now a days aren’t as good as the college classics. I’m not sure if it was the good times that surrounded the music that made the album or the music itself.
